Both my wife and I use this bike several times a week and overall we’re very happy with it. The machine is comfortable, stable and very quiet and for a relatively inexpensive machine it is very well built. Also, the assembly was straight forward and everything fit together well. However there are a few things you need to consider about the design of this machine before purchasing one sight unseen, especially if you’re older. The display is a little difficult to read if the room is not well lit but this is only a small inconvenience. The big issue however, which has been pointed out in other reviews is the difficulty with adjusting the seat. Three knobs to adjust a seat is ridiculous and on top of that they (adjustment knobs) are fixed under the seat so you really can’t adjust it while you’re sitting in the chair. I found the assembly of this bike pretty easy. The pictures in the assembly manual were pretty clear and easy to follow. I assembled the entire bike myself, without any help from my husband in about an hour and a half. I like how the screws were all in the holes where they belong, which made it nice to not have to sort through a big bag of screws and figure out where each one goes. The only tricky part of the assembly was the tension cable. Once I got the bike assembled, I tried it out and was surprised at how quiet it was. I really like the large number display and the way it registers heart rate through the seat handles. I feel like the bike is a good value for a basic bike. It doesn't have some of the bells and whistles like fans, cup holder, iPod speakers, or preset workouts, but as I reviewed some of the other bikes, those bells and whistle weren't worth the extra money. We use a bike for a month already. It is pretty sturdy (my husband is 310 lb). We were attracted by the fact that it is good for people with knee problems. The bike is very quiet due to magnetic resistance and has eight levels of resistance. Bike was packed well. Relatively easy to assemble. So far we like it, really good piece of equipment for the price. |
